There was a version of me who spent years wondering why the same relationship kept finding me in different bodies, different places, different names. I'd done everything right... I was smart, self-aware, endlessly willing to communicate. And still, I kept ending up in the same place: giving more than I got, explaining my worth to men who should have already known it.

It took me years — and a career that put me in rooms most people never see — to understand why.

I spent seven years as a boudoir photographer, sitting across from women in some of their most vulnerable, unguarded moments. I built a career in marketing and social media, learning exactly how persuasion, attention, and desire get engineered. And in the midst of all that, I worked in the sex industry... an experience that showed me, up close and unfiltered, the actual rules of the game men are raised to play. Rules I as a woman had never been handed.

That's the thesis at the center of everything I write: the playing field has never been level, because women were never taught the rules men actually play by. It's not because we're naive or dumb, I promise. It's because no one ever sat us down and told us the truth about dating, relationships, sex, marriage, and how patriarchy shapes us all.

Secrets of a Former Sex Worker is my answer to that gap — part memoir, part manifesto, all naked truth. It's the book I needed years ago: the one that names the patterns, hands over the language, and makes the invisible rules visible.

I live in Nova Scotia, where I own and operate a marketing agency. I spend my free time playing softball or hanging out with the two coolest teenagers I know (my kids!). I write for the woman who's tired of re-learning the same lesson in a different relationship. If that's you... you're not behind. You, like most women, just weren't given the whole picture.
